Starting pay for translators (mainly courtroom people) from what I understand is $35 an hour. They are in need of Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Ilocano and Laoasian speakers. Nice chump change.

WryGuy … you’re the 2nd person to make that same comment.

As I am half way through my 24th week, I have come to the realization that I am not going to make it at work. I was hoping to work up until the 24th of August … it looks like it’s going to be sooner, much sooner, than that. Tonight at work, I had 5 contractions within the second hour of work. If I remember correctly, I look much bigger now than I did with the other two when I was this far along with them. I have this strong feeling that I’m going to give birth to a huge baby. Let’s see … John is 6’1” and weighs about 205lbs. His mom recalls him being about 9lbs 8oz at birth … and I thought Chris was huge at 8lbs 6oz. I’m not too worried though … at least I’m not going to have this baby naturally.

I got statement from a credit card agency that I cancelled a little over a year ago. They say I have a credit of $55. I cancelled this card because customer service there sucks ass big time. All of my bills are taken out of my checking account either electronically, or I go to their website and pay it from there. Out of 8 bills that I pay, for some godforsaken reason, this particular company could not seem to get it right. Twice I was charged for over the limit fee (which never happened), and twice I was charged for NSF … in actuality, they had problems taking the monies out of my account. I never have less than a certain amount in my accounts … this is to make sure I never get charged for anything. We’re talking $29 a pop … that’s $116 they have taken from me that was never a fault of mine in the first place. I have had my bank write and fax them letters to show that I always had sufficient funds and that it was THEIR mistake in inputting my information. Well, it’s a year later and I guess they finally decided to send me my money back. But wait … the credit was for $55, not $116. As I looked further down on the statement, I noticed that they charged me an annual fee. Needless to say I was irate. Why the hell did they charge me that fee when I cancelled my account over a year ago? The card was paid off and was never used since Christmas of 2000. I’ve worked extremely hard all my life to establish an excellent credit and it gets tarnished all because these people don’t know how to input correct and accurate information. Mother fuckers! Anyway, I’m supposed to call them back tomorrow to see of my request to get back all the monies was approved … as if. Just send me the damn check and be done with it already.

On that note … I’m off to bed.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mums out there!

I’ve decided to brush up on my Japanese. I’ll be taking classes after the baby is born. I still remember the hiragana, but the katakana and kanji still kicks my ass. It’s part of the business deal I was talking about last week. More on that later though.

We’re supposed to have thundershowers today … I hope not … I wanted to visit my mom’s grave on the other side of the island. If it does rain, her birthday is on Thursday, so I’ll make it out there for sure by then.

Have a great week!
