Graduation was AWESOME!

Ok, so Chris and I had a side bet going on ... he bet that I would cry and I bet that Sianna was the one that was going to do all the crying ... arent we evil? Anyway, I won THAT bet.

After the ceremony, the graduates were whisked off to the Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park in Kapolei for Project Graduation. The park was closed down and reopened exclusively for the graduates to enjoy all night. I believe they got there around 10ish and left the park at around 6:30am. Besides riding the rides in the water park, they all got manicures and their hair done by Paul Brown Studios. Chris came home with his nails done in plaid ... lol. Each participant received a backpack filled with all kinds of goodies. They all got a towel, shorts, shirt - each, along with the backpack, embroidered with 'class of 2005' on them. They also got VIP passes to the park, and several gift certificates from various sponsors.

Project Graduation is a program that started in the late 80's that promotes a drug and alcohol free environment. Each year since, each graduating class has been whisked off to various secret locations to enjoy their last night with their friends. Throughout the year the committee stages different fundraisers to help keep the costs down to make it affordable for the students. Some of the fundraisers included McNite - one Wednesday a quarter McDonalds donates a portion of their sales to the event. Pizza Hut does the same thing for them. From what I learned earlier is that students who signed up to work at the State Fair got $10 towards their account for PG. Since Chris worked all for years, he got a $40 refund a few months ago. So, after all the deductions, I ended up paying $30 for PG. I think it was estimated at around $120 per student. Because Chris signed up for it at the beginning of the year, he got a discount. The longer you waited to sign up, the more it was going to cost you. I think they added $5 per week up until it reached $90.

Chris also had his last high school function last night ... Band Banquet. Now he's bumming around the house. I told our boss to schedule him more at work ... keep him outta my hair ... lol!

Sianna has another week of school and then she officially becomes a Freshman. She gets a two week break before she starts summer school and marching band practices. She is so excited to start school. No more uniforms for one thing.

Anyway, I am so glad that graduation is over. Now I can sit back and relax, catch up on some sleep for a good month before I start stressing again for Chris' grad party in July.

Well I hope you guys have a great week!
