Thought I’d make an entry before I get ready for my prenatal this morning.
Chris had his audition yesterday for marching band to see what he’ll be playing for the season. He made it for bells and quads. He picked to play the quads. When I was in high school, we didn’t have quads nor did any other school. I played the tri-toms back then when I wasn’t a flag girl. The band has a big percussion section this year … 23 people. They plan to have a large pit section to utilize all the students. They’re even asking other students who play different instruments to defect to the percussion section. Opening number is music from ‘Ben Hur’. They plan to have a percussion feature/solo this season to make up for not having one last year along with some other surprises.
Sianna is out gallivanting this weekend. She’s at a sleep over till tomorrow and grandpa will be taking her to the water park all day tomorrow for a company party.
It’s been raining most of the morning and we’re supposed to have gusts of up to 30 mph all weekend. John is out fishing with some friends and will probably come by later tonight after I get off from work.
Well, I need to start getting ready. Love you all …

It’s been a little over a week since I’ve been on my new diet. I had an appointment Wednesday with the Diabetes Technician and she announced that I had lost three pounds since I last saw her, which was a week earlier. Needless to say I got scolded. I tell you … I can’t win … I’m told not to gain too much weight, then I get in trouble for losing weight on a diet THEY put me on! So now I have to gain at least a pound by my next visit on Tuesday.
Well … the invitations are done, maps all made, and the food and games are all planned. My baby shower given by my friend Mary will be on July 22nd. Right now the guest list has 32 people on it. The group of people on the list, at least the majority of them, are from my job and let me tell you … they are a bunch of wild women. It should get pretty interesting that night … especially game time.
It’s time to check my blood level … hope you all have a great weekend!
